Budapest Hungary
This was the last port of call on our cruise down the Danube. A lot of history, as Budapest seems to have been invaded by almost every European Power over the centuries, most recently the Germans in the Second World War, then it was "liberated" by the Russians, but as the locals tell it, the Russians forgot to go home. They considered removing the soviet memorial after they left, but decided it looked OK. Statues of Stalin however were not spared.
